Its benefits include: improved circulation; a soothing or stimulating effect on the nervous system, depending on application; improved lymphatic flow and it's function of cleansing the body of impurities; aids digestion; improves respiratory function and maintains and improves muscle tone.

Training and Qualifications

I began my massage and healing training 30 years ago at the dawn of the age of complementary therapy in Britain. It was at this time that I spent time working alongside John MacManaway, whose father Bruce MacManaway, a natural healer, discovered his abilities serving during the Second World War when he found he was able to alleviate pain and reduce bleeding of injured soldiers. This experience inspired my passion to find ways to help heal the body and mind through natural means; a path taken 60 years previously by my grandmother who went to Denmark to study Remedial Gymnastics! In 1985 I completed a three year training with Beverley Milne, a healing and spiritually orientated teacher of Tai Chi Ch'uan. Tai Chi, a movement practice from China, develops the flow of chi (subtle energy) within the body. I continued practicing with the group with whom I had studied for a further two years. This training developed a sensitivity and awareness of chi, which I then developed over a period of three years, training in Spiritual Healing with Eileen Dann, a qualified healer registered with the National Federation of Spiritual Healers. In 1987 I also qualified in the practice of Intuitive Foot Massage (Lotus Foot Therapy) at the Centre for Healing and Spiritual Understanding, with Beverley Milne.
